Monday 5/8/19
Today was our last day in Sefro as we were leaving early the next day.
'We' were a bit worried about returning the car and how we were going to get to Rome by 9am the next day. However in the midst of this we found out that early that morning, Gianfranco's son Samuelo, had been involved in a car accident and was in hospital and the family were there with him.
He had broken his wrist in a couple of places and was amazingly well for someone who had been in a head on collision. The driver of the other car had quite a few injuries but was OK. Samuelo had fallen asleep while driving at 5am in the morning. Luckily alcohol and speeding were not involved.
But you have to eat so after returning our car to Fabriano, (thank you to Carmine and Tiziana, cousin), we all went and had lunch at Gainfranco's daughter Sara's house in Castelraimondo. She and her husband Cecere have 2 gorgeous daughters and live in quite an amazing fairly new house on 3 stories with an enormous deck with great views.
It was a a family lunch which Sara wanted to have as she had missed seeing us on our last trip and had been on holidays on Isola Elba until yesterday. I said no you dont have to but she insisted.
I was too busy eating to take photos unfortunately. However i did get a photo of this special wine we had bought in Rasiglia
After lunch, we went back to the village and said goodbye to my cousin Lalla Maria and her husband Ermano. They are so lovely but because he is unwell have not been able to do much with us. We wanted to see them one lat time probably. I also got a photo of their son Fabio who came to say hello and good bye. HE is an ex soccer player for reasonable clubs in Italy. HE has been coaching more recently. And quite tall and handsome.

This is Samuelo with his right wrist in a cast from the accident playing with Illaria and Simone. He is a fun uncle. That is my elbow in red top in the background.
The end of a great holiday, even if a few days shorter than expected.
England, Ireland and Italy, you were more than just incredible.

While back in Sefro and on the way in we took some photos:
And for dinner it was back to Sara's place in Castelraimondo as she was having a dinner for her husband's birthday as well as her own. We were invite and 35 family and friends gathered for dinner on her enormous deck.
IT was so good. WE took some photos of the family.

The next day, Carmine with Patrizia drove us to Rome for the plane. We left at 5.30am. Cannot say how much we appreciated them driving us.
This is the sign as you leave the village of Sefro. It says it all.
